Established novelist, poet, critic, and academic Felix Nicolau launched yesterday his latest novel, In Women's Hands, at the Peasant Museum Club; a book presented as a hypernovel and a convertible narrative, in which chapters are titled "car tops" and where a stunning sense of the language and an overwhelming gallery of characters storm the reader with registers that span from the picaresque and the politically sarcastic to the absurd and the n-dimensional baroque, in a manic chronicle of postcommunist Romania written with fiery zest and with a humor at times tender, at others cool, but always brilliant.
